We're not yet sure why Crave is targeting the PS2 for a game when the PS3 is the current generation console - oh well. The PSP would be a good platform for the product and the Nintendo Wii will be a great platform for such a genre.
Wii Sports gave us a taste of a bowling game using the Wii remote control for a natural feel. Although we cannot attach a 9lbs. weight to make it "realistic" the game does prove innovative, unique and functional in this area. Hell, it's also very entertaining.
Crave must have seen the success in this title and moved into the design of a full blown bowling game. The details are scarce at the moment so all we can do is hope for great things. Gamespot's only information has been:
"In the career mode, players can work their way up from amateur to professional hotshot, Roy Munson style, and the multiplayer mode lets up to four players compete against each other. No specific details about the versions for each platform were given, other than that the PSP will include wireless multiplayer and additional character customization."
Will this game take advantage of true multi-player over the network or just local? When is the target release date? Tournament play? PSP play but no DS release? So many questions...
