T-Mobile is offering its HotSpot Wi-Fi service for the PSP, don't get too excited its only free for 6 months

All you need to do is download the latest system update to your PSP, 3.30 and go the a T-Mobile HotSpot, choose the "Use Wireless HotSpot" option and follow the instructions to get connected. Sign up for the free promotional access before March 28, 2008 to take full advantage of this offer.

So now you can use your PSP at thousands of T-Mobile HotSpot locations nationwide like Starbucks, Borders Books, FedEx Kinko's, Hyatt Hotels, Sofitel and Novotel hotels and various airports.

Remember that you must download the lastest update for the psp, which does offer the following:

1. Support for thumbnail images of items has been added under [RSS Channel].
2. Support for PLAYSTATION®Network titles has been expanded.
3. Support for thumbnail images of videos that are stored in the "VIDEO" folder of Memory Stick Duo™ media has been added.

Or you can keep your homebrewed apps and you can just go to a local coffee shop that has free wi-fi too. In a time where free wifi is readily available in major cities will this latest promotion help out sales of the PSP?
