Shadowrun - Vista - Doesn't Work?

To add to the mounting buggy launches, gamers are reporting the inability to play Shadowrun online due to network connection failures with Xbox Live Anywhere.

Yeah, gamers are having a hard time connecting for multi-player games...but the game is all about multi-player so this is a problem. It is a major problem when those gamers are game reviewers trying to say good things about your game.

"FASA Studios' arena shooter, is finally in stores, and we can't play the PC version. It's not for lack of effort - we spent hours trying to get the thing to connect to Live on a Vista rig with no luck."

Those are the words of the reviewers at IGN trying to compare Shadowrun on the PC to Shadowrun on the Xbox 360.

"Whether this is a widespread issue or a problem with our own rig and network setup isn't clear, as we're not omniscient. It is the reason we can't bring you cross-platform impressions, however."

We're not sure how many 2old2play gamers are currently Vista enabled and (proud?) owners of Shadowrun but we'd love to hear from you. Does Shadowrun work for you?

The biggest issue with PC gaming is hitting all the target hardware--that random assortment of crap that is connected to your PC. Everyone seems to have something a bit different and hitting all configurations will be a challenge. However, for a gaming site like IGN who no doubt has some good hardware, this seems a bit strange.

If it does turn out to be network configuration issues we cannot wait to see how the "common gamer," those that know little of this thing we call networking, handles the situation. If your Xbox 360 can connect the PC running Live Anywhere shouldn't have any problems either, right?
