Financial website Fin24 recently posted an article not too dissimilar from any other one detailing the Wii's mainstream success and appeal. Look carefully, however and you'll notice this little tidbit:
The head of the LucasArts, the game division for "Star Wars" series creator George Lucas, told AFP a Wii game that lets players wield virtual light sabers is on the horizon.
We all knew it was bound to happen at some point in time, and coming from the hand that feeds Star Wars fans, it's looking like the dream of a game set in the universe for Nintendo's latest platform might just come true at last.
Awesome idea: lightsaber sound effects coming from the Wii-mote's speaker.
