Remember The Cortana Letters, or I Love Bees? Each one was a viral Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that got people hooked into some vague backstory for Halo and Halo 2, respectively.
Well, it wouldn’t be Halo 3 if it didn’t have an ARG attached to it, and Bungie started to have its fun when a mysterious poster named “Adjutant Reflex” started posting on the Bungie.net forums, with odd phrases like “This will be a good place to begin”, “Another good place”, and “System Integrity Confirmed”.
For those of you who enjoy mind games, such as The Secret World’s mystery posters on the official forums for that particular game (as well as the puzzle just to find the forum), it’s time to waste valuable time with tiny little clues left by devious (and probably giggling) developers - and loving every minute of it.
