TTK Loot Discussion (Spoilers)
TTK Loot Discussion (Spoilers)
Ive got some cool stuff so far, but my favorites are the titan arms from the Brothers heroic fight and the Helm from the fight in the dark (I really hope he drops that giant axe of his).
But the coolest thing I have seen so far is one my fireteam got an exotic sniper that he described "Looks like a radio Tower." But it has the coolest sound in the game (reminds me of the heavy turrets on the Death Star from Episode IV).
The gun I am currently lusting after is the Arc AR Exotic. Ive been crushed by it in Crucible.
Also I had the 4th Horseman drop. Its not upgraded at all yet, but I am 100% certain it has the largest burst damage in the game. The 5 shots empty almost instantly. I cant wait until I unlock final round and return to sender. It can wreck pve bosses.
Thanks for the info.
Are the armor piece drops specific to individual strike missions? I think the sniper you're referring to is called the "Hereafter". One of the perks is "Blinding Light" - precision kills cause a bright flash, which blinds nearby enemies. I've seen this in action on a strike mission. It does blind enemies... I have one - came from a "3 of Coins" exotic engram, but haven't shot it yet.
With special ammo so scarce in the crucible, I'll have to wait and see if the 4th works for me.
I would guess the armor is specific to that strike as it has flavor text from the boss. The titan arms from the brothers are just cool looking. There is also a really cool looking FR that drops from the in the dark boss. Slow charge rate but 100% impact.
And yes, Hereafter is the sniper. Thanks for the name. On 4H - I would guess invective is better for pvp because of the ammo regen. However, if you are like me and a terrible shot, the 4H might be your thing. I would guess the clip empties twice as fast as invective and it has better stability so you can really spray and pray. I think it will be more useful for PVE, when something has to die RIGHT NOW.
Yes, I got the Darkblade Titan helm drop in the dark knight strike. Was an expensive drop though.... It forced me to spend the few marks I had for a better matched ensemble. Even had to change factions to get it... :)
Don't overlook the legendary chest pieces that give an armor buff when running either an arc, void or solar subclass. I'm thinking this might be a good idea, especially for PvP or nightfalls/raids. I have 3 legendary chest pieces for my main Warlock. Don't know if the armor buff is stackable with the ram helm.
BTW - The Spare Change.25 pulse rifle still produces 38 crits in the crucible. It's a good deal better than any other TTK pulse rifle I've tried so far in terms of range, stability and overall effectiveness.
Im assuming you switched to DO for their white on black stuff? The Cryptographic Shader works pretty well with that helm. Also, the vanguard stock armor (Murva-something, not Dust-something) with default shader go with it really well too.
Also - Darkblade drops a Fusion rifle with slow charge and 98% impact. It wrecks things. And the Brothers also drop a Scout Rifle called "Treads Upon Stars." I am unsure if these have set perks or they roll them, but both versions I got replaced all of my other current weapons and are now my defaults. I will say that the off-the-shelf DO Scout Rifle (Hung Jury I think?) looks absolutely amazing. I have one that dropped with ok perks, but the one the vendor sells has perfect ones.
I got the Hakke Hera-D pulse from Banshee last night. I love it. I guess it depends on the roll, but I got perfect balance and fitted stock/rifled barrel. I havent compared it to my spare change in my vault yet, but as far as stability goes, it seems far superior and it does not have the crazy angular muzzle climb. I also had an Apple of Discord drop last night, but I havent used it yet. Neither hit as hard as the Spare Change though. The Banshee Pulse that is comparable is the Ludjmilla-D, I think. I used the Hera in Crucible last night and did better than average (which isnt saying much - Ive still been getting crushed in Crucible lately).
Also - so far the 4H has worked pretty well in pvp. But I dont have the Y2 invective yet.
