The Orange Box is Gold for PC and Xbox 360

Those of you who are dying to see the 2nd episode of Half-Life 2: The Aftermath, or play with portals, or pick a class for your TF2 squad, The Orange Box has just went gold for PC and Xbox 360 - the PlayStation 3 version ain’t ready yet.

The ship date of October 9th and release date of October 10th means it’s right on time.

A representative from Valve Software confirmed on Wednesday night that its upcoming releases of The Orange Box for PC and Xbox 360 have gone gold and are on their way for an October 10 release date,

The Orange Box comes packed with the latest version of the company’s smash-hit Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Players who want a discount on the super compilation pack can pre-order the game directly through Steam or at retailers nationwide.

With news that the developer had banned playing BioShock until the game was completed, we had to ask if the company also banned Halo 3. “We might need to cut folks off of The Orange Box,” was the only reply.
