For players wanting to step up their first-person shooter experiences to the next level, the good folks at TN Games brings you the 3rd space Gaming Vest. This suit is stated to be “an impact generating system”.
The suit has eight air chambers that responds to stimuli within the game such as impacting bullets, knife stabs (grenades?).
The suit, which is available on November 21st, is selling for $189.00 bundled with Call of Duty 2 or $169.00 without the game. So far, it has been developed for games such as Quake 3, Quake 4 and Doom 3. TN Games promises that it’s SDK is available to any game development who wants to take advantage of it.
Although this accessory is priced at a point where only hardcore FPS gamers(like myself) can entertain the idea of buying it, it would still be worth following TN Games and their “bullet vest” this Fall. What games do you think might benefit from this technology? Personally, I would love to see TN Games approach Bungie/Microsoft regarding compatability with Halo 3.
