Releases are definitely ramping up for the holiday season. This week holds one I’ve been waiting on for a while: Costume Quest 2. I’m also curious to see what kind of cool things might be coming out of Project Spark now that Microsoft is taking it out of beta. #shutupandmakemynewconkergame

As soon as this went up for pre-sale, I told Tim Schafer to shut up and take my money. This is the only RPG I’ve ever made it through all by myself (since its basically for babies). The original also gives me the honor of being the only one in the house to have a game with 100% of the achievements on PSN!

Alien Isolation is a stealth horror FPS set more in the style of the original Ridley Scott movie than others in the franchise. You play as Ripley’s daughter, Amanda. Supposedly, it’s at least better than the last trash that was Aliens: Colonial Marines. My biggest shock was its published published by Sega. They’re still around?!

In beta since December, Microsoft’s Project Spark opens up to the world this week. Project Spark allows players to create their own games and share things they created with other players. The E3 trailer also showed my favorite squirrel, Conker, who MS still hasn’t done much with since they purchased Rare. You can get Spark for XBox or PC and it interfaces with Smartglass for your mobile devices. It will be interesting to see what type of games and “indie economy” come out of this, and if the Mojang acquisition will tie back somewhere in here.
