Update - Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

My friend ended up using his "ringer" lifeline - one of the research editors at Mental Floss magazine and I can't say I blame him.

The entire process was interesting.  Yesterday morning I received a conference call from a studio page letting me know that my friend was going to be on the show and that I should be ready on a land line. I listened to the rules along with the other lifeline folks for my friend.

I have a friend who is going to be on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire today - well, they are taping today and the episode will air next year.  I have been chosen as one of his Phone-A-Friend lifelines. Ugh. I hope I don't choke.

I just stumbled across one of the drawbacks to leaving your 6 year old play on xbox live unattended. I just received this email from Xbox Live -

More On The Washer

The technician came out Saturday before last and he was very nice. He worked on the washer for a few minutes and determined that some parts needed to be replaced. Parts that would have to be ordered. Ugh.

He ordered the parts and told us that they would be dispatching a tech the next Saturday to install the parts.

We stayed home all day that Saturday since we don't know when he will be arriving. He never showed up.

Washer update

Earlier I wrote about our washer being broken.  I just received a reminder automated phone call to remind me that the repairman will be here tomorrow between the hours of 8am and 5pm.  This is the 21st Century! Can't we narrow down our schedules better than this?  These companies operate this way because we have no alternative to turn to and they simply don't give a crap.  Jerks.

Finally Heard Back From Baskin Robbins

A few weeks back I blogged about my incident at Baskin Robbins. I finally heard back from their corporate HQ. I had hoped my letter to the manager would have worked but I never heard back from him/her.

I finally received a letter today (with my name misspelled) that I will paraphrase-

We are sorry to hear of your experience at Baskin Robbins.

All Baskin Robbins are locally owned so it is not actually our fault.
