Graduate school frustrations

I am getting close to completing my first year of graduate school at Cal State Long Beach.  (seeking a MS in Counseling - Marriage and Family Therapy).  My class or as they call "cohort" (those that were accepted and started the program at the same time) consists of about 35 individuals.  We all found out last night in our counseling techniques class that only 16 people will be accepted into the practicum in the fall.

Day dragging by....

Even tho I have been keeping busy today at work (*sighs* about missing out on more GHII time) the day has dragged by, especially this afternoon.    Plus I know that when I get home, the first thing I must do is write my paper that is due tomorrow night.  Graduate school is great but sometimes it does get in the way of goofing off.

Guitar Hero-holic

Wow....I can't seem to put this game down! I had no idea that it would be so much fun. I really didn't as I have GH (original game) for the PS2 since shortly after christmas of 2005 and hardly played it. My hands kept cramping up and so I couldn't play long. Think the guitar was the issue more than the game. I don't find myself having the same issue as quickly with the 360 controller. That isn't to say, my hands haven't gotten tired. They have...

Cross your fingers for me!

Today is my birthday and I didn't ask for much from my husband. Asked for two DVD's and Guitar Hero II for the 360. I keep hoping to entice him to play games with me. No such luck. He likes racing games and that's it. (tho he doesn't ever play any of the games I have that ARE racing games anymore). I have the PS2 original GH game. Sadly I have only tried it on easy mode. I have seen what others can do such as the video of the guy doing XYZ by Rush on Expert and then smashing the guitar..(which was FUNNY especially since it wasn't HIS...LOL).

Should be working on papers due next week

Took today, tomorrow and Monday off from work. Several reasons with one being that I have 3 papers due next week and I haven't worked on them all week despite knowing that they are due. Instead have been playing too much Oblivion (that game is like crack!) I finished the Dark Brotherhood quest line today. Have the mage and the thieves quest line to go from the original game. Then can move on to the new achievements related to Shivering Isle. I haven't downloaded that yet but i will.
