I love the pc modding community.
Picked it up the guilty pleasure that is Dark Souls PTE. Little did I know how ugly it is since it's locked at 1024 X 720. Hopped online and what do ya know? Some genius already modded in 1080p support along with other customization options. Didn't end there another modder made a option to let you invite a coop friend any time you want. Yeah it's cheating but that is the option I've always wished for. Surprisingly it didn't gimp the challenge much at all. Shit still one shots you and phantoms with uber burst damage (All of them) still invade and smoke your ass. Mods make pc gaming so much more versatile.
There's a 19 yo kid trying to get a job at Bethesda and made a Skyrim expansion. Looks incredible.

Makes me realize how stupid I really am. That shit looks bananas.
I read it has over 20 hours of gameplay with expanded story line main quests and various side quests. He also had 30 people do new voice over work. It said he spent about 2000 hours making it.
mods sell games. I just picked up Crusader Kings 2 after seeing the free Game of Thrones mod on youtube and in this pc gamer article. http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/06/30/playing-the-game-of-thrones/ it's one of the great things about pc gaming for sure.
This is what I have been preaching! Mods make games so much more better. I can't see myself go back to consoles unless there is some sort of game charger coming.
Except for some of the "exclusive to console" games, most, if not all of my future game purchases are going to be on PC.
The mods some people come up with are incredible. I love the fact developers are starting to give users the tools to do them as well.
