I noticed the other day that when I replied to a post, it automaticlly subscribed me to it's post. Used to not do that.
That should be the behavior of every forum ever. That's how you can keep up on your threads. It was something I didn't like about v2, that it did not have that.
That's weird because V3 should have been auto subbing this entire time. Whoops....
There should be a check box near comment section that allows you to sub or not sub to a new post when you comment.
Weirdness on this one. I went into the 2old4forza forum and went throught the first three or four threads to the last thread and clicked back to the forums, specifically to get rid of the "new" replies. And it did. And then I did a few more and the previous threads were again
new". Kinda makes me think its MY memory but at the same time the older threads, and even other site threads have never done that.
What's the format on posting pictures? Looks like all the flickr stuff has reverted to just links?
edit: checked 2old4forza's "post your pics" thread and flickr photobucket and image shack are all just links.
The embeds we're fairly hard to port over since we did a lot of processing on the old site to convert links embeds. I've brought some of that over with youtube vids, but haven't looked into flickr stuff yet. For now if you click on the img icon (to the left of the flag) you can add them all by just the image link.
annnnnnnd I don't have sufficient permissions to edit my own posts...
I tried posting an url directly into "image" tool, it seemed to work, could see it in edit mode, but not after posting. BB Code and HTML embed no goes...

Can you link me the post in question so I can take a look.
It's odd, old pictures posted in the blog are still showing up, but old pictures in a thread do not. Same posting format. And neither will take a new picture.
This is the same link for the first picture in the 2nd blog.
Are forum sigs temporarily turned off for the initial crossover?
Went in to edit my avitar (worked perfect), which by the way love the fact it's not limited to 100x100 anymore. And I noticed I'm unable to edit my signature.

Forum sigs are disabled and not likely to return for a while. Since they all loading data from off site it cause a ton of extra load time when loading up a lot of results at once.

I'm honestly fine with that. They got a bit ridiculous and cluttery.
So, is the option to edit posts pre cross over not possible and should we just let them die ( IE pix links) or will we be able to do this in the future? I only ask as the properties of a link still seems to show correctly even if the link itself is broken. I have Forza threads with 110 posts and a gazillion car pix ( real number!) that could be fixed if editable, OR I could just let it die and start over. Honestly either option would be time consuming, not sure there's a clear efficient choice either way. Possibly editing existing thread would be a bit faster, certainly more accurate leaving the pix in their original placement. Cirious why the blogs are showing accurately and the threads are broken.
Also, it seems after editing a post, it pops up showing it, and says it's been posted, but there seems to not be a link at top to return to the thread or even the sub forum, or forum? ( Ah, never mind, the VIEW COMMENT button seems to do this.)
replying with a quote is a bit odd - rather than just take you to the bottom of the screen it takes you to a brand new screen, has to reload, then you reply and then you have to go back to the thread. Rather than just refreshing the screen in the main thread.
One thing that is nice for inter-thread navigating is having the page selector at the top and bottom of the screen (currently only set up on the bottom)...particularly on the longer threads. It saves having to scroll down to the bottom of every page on longer threads when looking back through pages for a particular comment.

Agreed. I thought this issue was already addressed in V3.
I had some images that I used in email signatures that are no longer acessible.
Examples:
Can you provide a new location for these please? I didn't see IMCE or a way to add these to the new site.
PS: I like the Font Awesome icons you're using on the site, so maybe we can use those to replace the social icon ones?
They already are
Derek should be able to log in and grab themNo, I mean for the email signautes...to use the same Font Awesome ones from the new site instead.
Email don't respect webfonts reliably and text based wont show them at all.

This thread post 110 has 8 separate attempts to post the same picture, and first 7 are not showing up at 1;56pm EST.
I finally dug into the BBCode link and pulled that url out and it does work with the image tool...

I got that message trying to edit an old post pre-crossover as well.

Blog now has picture showing,

I changed nothing. Is there a delay, or did someone tweak a setting overnight?
testing flickr embed
You should now be able to just post the link to the flickr URL and have it auto embed again. FIXED

New feature has been added to allow users to auto publish comments, reply, and delete. TESTING

No way to edit your reply in a blog post.

Currenty I only have the new instant comments set up for edit, delete, and reply. Quote will come later
Not a bug, more of a tool.

I'll look into adding this soon. Great idea.

Working on some new stuff for forum tagging. Should be able to show everyone a decent demo this weekend.
