Nice work guys Caution free! :D

I will eventually get this caution system worked out, or maybe i'll just score the groups individually  you get to race everyone around you and yourgroup.

Great racing tonight guys and caution free too :). I really enjoyed the race and seem to be showing slow improvement which im really pleased with.

The 'scoring the group and racing those around you and in your group' could be something worth looking into Tourni.

Yeah you do church, its not that your agressive.  But if you relax and just enjoy the racing rather than trying to win then you'll enjoy the game alot more :)

OFC, still try to win but not to the point where you get annoyed if you cant :)  You compete with the fastest drivers of this community and that is enough of an achievment to be proud of!

I'm sure Parcells will confirm.  1-2 bong hits before race will help get rid of the pre-race stress 11

Mate, I don't even have to be on the grid to beat you, I'm automatically the better sibling in all aspects.

You are correct Mr. Surf Sir, it certainly doesn't hurt. But weed or no weed it remains easier said than done if you're in the heat of a battle when an optimistic opportunity presents itself to gain a position. If one can remember that the very best racing is every side by side battle you've ever had it "might" be easier to relax but we all know that's virtually impossible.

It wasn't so much that, but Church get stuck when trying to chase some one.  If he can't catch them or they pull away then he tends to get frustrated.   Within a battle, he is very good and can apply a good amount of pressure to the driver infront and does do reasonably well at defending.   So, if you cant go any faster and they are then you can only evaluate what you have :)

Can you get the car to go faster by slightly changing the line in the sector they are gaining the most?

How are others taking it and are they gaining?

Is your car capeable of going any faster or have you reached the grip/atitude limits?

In his case last night, they were .100 apart on the laptimes and i suspect there was little room for much improvement that would gain any significant amount of time on the opponent.

We've all been there and most of us know that its time to settle into a groove and hope the guy infront makes a mistake to bring you into striking distance :)

Or take in the frekkin scenery... I had the shittest race last night and really didn't enjoy myself. At all. I wasn't thinking and had 2 beers before tea. That might not have helped me either. Paired with the zooming-in-and-out car jumping all over the road in font of me completely threw me off. Hopefully better with the next race.

Wholehertedly agree Tourni but just to clear my comments regarding this had nothing to do with Church's racing I just loved your generic comment about how to approach this racing stuff...enjoy a good battle vs. only trying to win.

Besides, I don't get to race against Church very often and when I do he's usually not part of my race if you know what I mean...how do I know what the guys that leave me in their dust are doing nor do I care :)

Goat, you may want to consider a race school session once you settle in :)

So i've been thinking about this  - the caution system is to hard to work out.

So, we'll still give the guys at the start a head start, but any caution will negate it.  Its far easier to manage :)

Caution free again!  Church took the win, goat did some great defending.

Hyper and myself had some good battles, even when fitzy tried to go up the ass of Hyper.  :)

The defending is the highlight of my race since I can't make the laptimes you guys do but I must just pay attention to the braking points, I tend to brake too late when you're sitting on my ass which leads to a nice passing gap for you. I'll endevour to make passing me  as much of a challenge as possible ;)

Thats the whole point of this event, I want people to learn and hone their racecraft - those that aren't fast get to makes themselves faster by defending.  A good defensive driver can hold off some one who is over .5 second faster :)

With defending, your braking is very crucial, if you move to the inside, you will need to be on the brakes earlier as the corner has got alot tighter for you.  However, some corners its not always best to do that and those corners usually have a fast exit.

You guys will have to excuse me from the racing this evening. I'm beat and just don't have the attention span for it. However, I'll see you as usual next week ;)
