Three months since this thread began and as of 12/6,7 both sides are still complaining and blaming the other side. I told myself that I will be a person that will not pass on anger/negativity and I won't here.

I have checked nhl.com and other news portals every 2 or 3 days for months hoping and being positive but to no avail. I wished when I was younger that I could be a pro hockey or baseball player. I looked up to many of the players and was fortunate to meet some. (Side note: I really want to meet Dan Marino so if anyone knows him, hook a brother up.) More and more time goes by and my opinions and thoughts change about what pro sports has turned into and I question whether I should invest any more of my time or money into them. I am trying to find hockey on comcast not associated w/ the nhl but I have not found any. There are NHL replays on right now and I can't even bring myself to watch those b/c I am so disappointed in the NHL and NHLPA. Like to hear other's thougths on the issue. Or if its not easy to talk about we can just go shoot things in H4 or BO2. 49

ps: the first post/question by Lou; no, I don't believe there will be a season at all.

i too have lost faith in pro hockey.

a real shame. the only reason i watch tv in the winter is for hockey and football. i'm not really a football fan, just a Steelers fan.

i don't think they'll announce it's shit canned until the end of January.

it will be really sad if there is no season. it could continue into the following season because the players association feels as though it has more power if the owners are watching the dollars go out the window as they debate the situation...the owners think the same thing of the players.

I agree with you wamam. They will wait until the end of January to can this season. I honestly think the season is gone and they may lose another if they don't get the major issues moving along.

this sport like all the rest has made the dollar the most important thing, but this sport unlike the rest is very new in areas where kids where not  brought up playing . the original six teams will never lose it's fan  base, but in the weaker areas where they where trying to build one, they will and sadly  lose there teams . this is a sad time that they couldn't come to some agreement but die hard fans know that there will be hockey on tv or at the local high school or even best at the local frozen pond. it's time to lace up and hit the ice

Both sides make me sick in my opinion I agree with most and feel that the season will be eventually be scrapped but who's to say that they'll get it done in time for training camps to open in 2013?

As I watch the world juniors, this thought has also crossed my mind. I think that, at a minimum, the start of the next season will be missed as well.

It's getting to the point that even if a season started, I doubt I would watch much of it. The time I used to watch hockey has gone into other things now. When ever they start playing again, in non-hockey markets I think they are going to struggle to get people into the arenas.

Too bad I have to go to NHL.com to watch these games, oh well. Many games over the next couple weeks just hope they broadcast many of them. For me I will not watch NHL hockey this season or next if there is one. I would love to watch some pond hockey, I live in Georgia though..anyone up north have pond hockey and want a house guest...lol.

Alright guys take care and game on.
