Bummer. I just watched a movie he directed, "A Little Chaos", the other day. It was wonderful.

Forecasting 18-24" with a blizzard watch in the D.C. area starting tomorrow afternoon. Sounds like another Snowmageddon.  Going out today to stock up on groceries.  Guess I won't be able to order Dominos for a couple of days and will have to really cook (or eat a lot of peanut butter sandwiches).

Looks like it's going to miss us. I'll just have to eat all those storm chips anyway.

Just shoveled the 1 - 3" (5") OF SNOW OUT OF THE IMMEDIATE DRIVEWAY, about 25' x 75' ish at what I would say is an extreme grade, gravel too, Took about 90 minutes or so, without falling on my ass, usually I'm good for 1 or 2 of those.  And now I'm hunkered down to see what the overnight inflicts. Put down 50 lbs of cattle salt down for the little the shovel didn't get and have another 50 lbs under the shed. BTW, cattle salt at Tractor SUpply, $7.49 for 50 llbs...and they have it when everyone else is sold out of salt.

Do you have to lick it first and then spit onto the driveway?

Doesn't sound awesome at all, quite the opposite actually. Good luck with all that.

Lucky for Parcells he lives in close proximity to Mr. DEEP so this wicked storm is just heading out to sea vs. sharing it's might on our humble little province.

Same here.  19" already and expecting up to 8" more expected today.  Oh, and blizzard conditions.  Thank goodness the power hasn't gone out.  Looks like some shoveling tonight and a lot more tomorrow.  Oh my aching back just thinking about it.  I would be more than willing to give a couple of kids beaucoup $ to do this for me.

Total of 30" here.  Snowed from 1PM on Friday until 11PM on Saturday.  Went out to (start) shovel the car out yesterday and found a 4ft snow drift (pile) behind my car out to where the plow came thru.  By my estimation it was 4ft (high) by 10ft (needed to clear width for car) by 8ft (needed to get to plowed area).  After 2 1/2 hours of shoveling I cleared a shovel wide path to plowed area and about 2ft behind car.  Snow still on car.  Totally exhausted and praying that plow or bobcat would clear much of the area behind car.  I think prayers were answered last night when I saw bobcat doing exactly that.  Hoping that when I go out to shovel today I can finish the job.  Gonna wait till mid-afternoon since its about 16F now.

I remember the plows from Michigan, no fun. Thankfully I slid down to my truck, started her up and drove down to the road in 4WD, about 6 inches or so of snow, Roads almost clear, occasional ice here and there.

It's always been a case of IF I can get down off the hill to the road, rest is always doable...

Always unplug the old TV cord before asking wife to cut the cord with scissors.

You had to be there.

My bad.

Must have been an unexpected thrill for her.  Assume she is ok.

Bobcat did come thru and remove all snow from back of my car.  2 more hours and my car was free of snow and ready to go.  Unfortunately someone (I don't know who) removing snow next to my car left a scratch -- I assume with a shovel -- almost  2 ft long from my back door to over the wheel well on left side.  Deep enough that ScratchX will not take it out.  Considering now what next step to take with this issue.  Also looking up a lot when I am outside to make sure nothing falls on my head since it feels like I have entered a period of really bad luck.
