Just finished "The Two Swords" by R.A. Salvatore, book 3 in "The Hunter's Blades" trilogy.

Now to figure out where I packed away the next trilogy in the Drizzit series, when I moved last summer.  Next up, "The Orc King", book 1 in the "Transitions" trilogy.

I don't have time to read unfortunately but taking advantage of audible.com with my long commute.  Just finished the Ann and Nancy Wilson autobiography which was good but they actually narrate it themselves too which is pretty cool.  Now I'm listening to the Fall of Reach.  I've got almost every Stephen King book and I've read 3/4 of one of them (family members give them to me for christmas and birthday, been getting them for years) so the main reason I joined audible.com is I plan on getting the audio versions of them so I can at least say I know the stories. So I'll probably get one of the bigger Stephen King books once Fall of Reach is done.

Just finished "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Joshua Foer.

I became fascinated with memory techniques in the last little while and I found my way to this book.  Basically the author is a writer who gets sucked into the world of memory competetions (memorizing faces/names, shuffled decks of cards, long number sequences etc.) and eventually competets in and wins the US Memory Championship within a year of starting down this path.  It's a very interesting book - it isn't a "how to" book but by the end of the book you may decide that learning to do this stuff isn't exactly worth the time and effort.

I'm about to finish Harry Potter 6 and will be starting the final book after that. I'm excited, the last book of the Kilo 5 trilogy of the Halo novels was recently announced, and will release in January.

Oh loved the last Harry Potter book, so much better than movie. The movies left so much content out of each of the books, it always drove me nuts. I loved the movies though too, and often wished I had watched the movies first, than the books :(

I finished the last Harry Potter, now I'm not sure what to read.  Might start the Halo series again.  I'm also considering reading the Hitchhiker's Guide series again.  Decisions...

I just finished a book called Feed by Mira Grant. Its a different take on zombies. I wasn't sure how to feel about it for a while, but I must say it was a good book. It takes place 26 years after the Rising, where the dead reanimated and almost wiped us out. Today, the dead are a fact of life; every mammal that dies over a certain body mass will reanimate to consume the living. The author did tons of research, consulting with biologists, scientists, and even architects to determine what buildings made to prevent zombies from getting in would look like. It was similar to World War Z in that the zombie apocalypse occurred in the past, but world economies adapted and managed through the end of the world. Do not expect the book to be a zombie slaughter; because zombies were eventually beaten back, the book heavily focuses on the characters, with only three or four zombie battle scenes. For 600 pages, I didn't think this was worth it at first, but I got over that. Feed is the first in a series called Newsflesh, and I plan on reading more of them.

"Tracker" by C. J. Cherryh. This is book 16 in her Foreigner Universe Series. Cherryh is my favourite sci-fi writer. I haven't ever read her sci-fantasy but love her sci-fi books and I think I may have read all of them...jinkys, what a geekoid.

"Babylon's Ashes" by James S. A. Corey. This is actually two writers collaborating under one name. I started reading this series and The Old Man's War (by John Scalzi) series quite some time ago and enjoy both space opera series. The James S. A. Corey are what became known as The Expanse Series and now are televised on Syfy TV as the series The Expanse. The TV series isn't as good as the books but its pretty cool TV space. I am apprehensive about this book, the last one I read in the series took an odd turn and made me think that maybe the authors had decided to write for TV rather than TV trying to adapt what they'd written. Soooo, we'll see.
