So the LAN is basically over and I'm finally back at my condo. I can't believe how insanely big it was this year and how much we topped what we did last year. I truly wish you all could have been there to see. Every time i see a blog post, pictures, or even the live stream it just doesn't do the event the justice it deserves. Speaking of which , the comment I heard the most at the LAN from new comers was, "so this is what 2old2play is really about, I never knew." It's like you have to see it to believe it all.

How do you guys feel about streaming the LAN live on 2old2play? Cool?  Good because that's just what I'm going to attempt to do.  The live feed should be up by Friday in the Site Chat area so people can watch the event and chat live with some of the attendees.  I also plan on bringing the old crew of 2old2type together so we can do a live show some time on Saturday during the event.  Stay tuned....

So my original blog had this long explanation of the history of MMOs, the difference between PVP and PVE, a detailed look on our experience at Gamesday Chicago and the ultimate reason we went there; which was to play Warhammer Online. Unfortunately like everything I do on this site, I was distracted by PMs, emails, site chat, and other nonsense so I accidentally close my window about 5 paragraphs into my blog. So now that everything is lost I'll just be brief.

Last night we finally shut the server down and got to the maintenance I discussed this week.  The server is now running with another 2 gigs of beefy RAM.  It should, in theory, be running a lot faster so I hope it's noticeable to you all.  For me, Im seeing at least 2 seconds cut of the page generation for the forums which is much better then I expected.  Thanks again for your patience and hopefully with latest upgrade will be enough to hold off the masses for another couple months or so.
