Well here I am preparing for a new year on the job, updating the database and data entry templates when I come across a problem. My templates werent loading into my database. I check and recheck the code and I find no errors. After about 2 hours trying to get it to work I reluctantly call my companys help desk (by my partner’s request), set up an incident ticket and await a call back. Well while I am waiting I decide to keep working on the problem, this time starting from the beginning as though I had never made the input template or the macro to enter it. Step by step I go through it again.

Yes it is a happy day for DIE!!!

I finally got word that the PO has gone through that gives me a job for another year! It’s like an early Birthday present!!!

As some of you may have noticed (and I’m sure most of you have not), I have been on the forums a lot over the past couple of months due to the fact that we’ve been waiting for our 2006 contract. The past 2 months we have been sitting on our asses awaiting the contract status (damn thing should have been decided at the end of 2005) which has caused me great worry and frustration.

I have been asked how I make my sigs so I thought I would make a blog post to try to explain it. I am no graphics designer nor do I have expensive programs to work with so I improvise. I use Paint Shop Pro 6 for editing photos and PhotoImpact 10 for the lettering. I sometimes also pull out Microsoft Photo Editor 2000 (Office 2000 Suite) for cropping since it is the easiest for me to use.

Remember this might be the difficult way of doing it since I don’t know anything about graphics design or the programs I use.
