EQ was not my first MMO, but it was the first one to hold me tight and never let go (even 2 years since quitting EQ I still feel the draw to go back).
Nothing has come close to Everquest's sense of adventure and awe. Exploring new zones, leveling up, sailing on ships, seeing your first dragon, first giant, or even causing your first train..
I have played ever MMO out, even with the newest technologies, EQ still just gives me that warm feeling in the pit of my stomach..
