Dead Rising's

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, maybe it's just me, but while playing through Dead Rising, I noticed that one of the songs during a particular boss fight sounded mighty familiar. The song in question is called "Gone Guru" by a band called Lifeseeker, and you'll hear it anytime you find the convicts in the courtyard.

It bears a mighty strong resemblance to the Beastie Boy's 1992 hit, "So What'cha Want".

For you guys without the game, you can hear the song on their Myspace page linked below (Select "Gone Guru" in the music player):

I Need To Hire an Editor...

I didn’t realize my two previous blog posts were as long as they were until I dropped them on the site.  Oh well... In the future I’ll try to aim for “Horton Hears a Who” rather than “War and Peace”. Maybe our fine site administrators can start offering points for the number of words read.

A Boy and His Blog or: Why I Like Gaming

Almost as far back as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by videogames. One of my earliest memories is going with my dad to Sears to stand in line to pick up a Magnovox Odyssey2. We had some good times playing such time honored classics like KC Munchkin, Alien Invaders Plus!, UFO, and Baseball. Sure, all of those games were bad knockoffs of more popular games (Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Asteroids), but they planted the seed for my future enjoyment of videogames.

Initium

I’ve never had much desire to blog before, but I figure now is as good a time to do so as any. The Myspace generation is doing it, so why can’t I? I’ve had many of the same thoughts many bloggers do when they’re starting out, such as “Why would anyone care what I’ve got to say?” and “How am I going to keep this thing interesting?”. I guess that the worst case is that even if no one visits this blog to hear what I say, at least it’ll be here for posterity sake when I’m long gone (these servers will still be here in 100 years, won’t they?).
