I just read Jolly Rogers latest blog entry and then reread the one that I posted that precedes this one and have come to the conclusion that  I am a selfish bastard that takes too much for granted.

I know that this is a forum for gaming but the thing is...they are just games.  Mental masturbation.

I don't know that I am trying to say here. There is a reason that my handle is whytenoise.

tried to concentrate on a video game with an 18 month old and an almost three year old in the same room? It's a constant battle of keeping them interested in what they are doing as well trying to keep focused on what you are doing. It doesn't help that with the Wii you are doing lots of swinging and gyrating with shiny new looking things. And then of course is the way they sneak up on you just as you start your backswing on a par 5!!

I have been playing video games since the late '70's.  I don't remember the exact order because I am old and it was a freakin' long time ago but I am pretty sure it started with Pong,  with those funky steering wheel controllers.  It was followed by (not in order) a Colecovision, a Commodore Vic-20, the venerable Atari 2600, a handheld football game with little red minus signs that denoted the players, a Commodore 128, then my first real gaming computer/love of my life,  the Amiga 1000.  Commodore killed the Amiga and I was sad and didn't game for awhile but then came Doom!   Then came Sega
