Elk Loin Wrapped in Bacon... and question about dating

Yum.... The Ladies went out to Sweetgrass, an aboriginal restaurant in downtown Ottawa. Tres Tasty!  Wine excellent, service fantastic, the meal insane!  So good.  Only complaint: had no room for dessert!  I forgot that the elk loin was wrapped  in bacon, so I was like "what is this skin around the meat?" and didn't eat it. Right at the end, I remembered it was bacon, so it was like I had extra plate o' bacon. How good is that?

Feeding and Giggles

As *everyone* knows I am trying to sleep train Erica. It's all I seem to think about lately. This sort of thing does take over your life when you try to do it. There are really 4 parts to sleep training:

   a) Have a schedule and a routine.  She has nap#1 at 10:30, nap #2 at 3:00, bedtime at 8:00.  Routine is set: jammies go on (except at naps), play, breastfeeding, more play, then the walk around the house with Daddy (or Mommy if it's a nap) and then in crib awake.

sooo very sleepy... and menu for Friday night

I love her, but I pray she will sleep! Every night for the past week it's been the same: up 3 times crying, I feed her, and lo and behold: more crying. Rinse repeat.

Right now she is supposed to be down for a nap, it's going OK. She is talking to herself, but I know she's tired. Everyone send waves of sleep to my daughter, maybe good karma will work. I don't know what I will do when she finally sleeps through the night! I think I will be so bewildered, I won't believe it happened.

This Friday the ladies are going out to dinner! this is where we will be going:

Facinating Article

http://www.wired.com:80/gaming/gamingreviews/commentary/games/2007/11/gamesfrontiers_1105

Here's the first few lines to whet your appitite:

I used to find it hard to fully imagine the mind-set of a terrorist.

That is, until I played Halo 3 online, where I found myself adopting -- with great success -- terrorist tactics. Including a form of suicide bombing.

Lunch with my old boss.

It is a holiday today for the Goverment (we get Rememberance Day off) so I went out with my old boss. She and I worked great together, she hasn't been my boss for a while. The 3 of us, (boss, Erica nd myself) went to a local restaurant. I had the fish and chips: super yum.  My ex-boss told me to get out of my current division, and that life on the outside was great. I'm trying!!

Erica did really well with her sleep last night and today. Hopefully by the end of next week I will be able to blog and say how wonderful it is to sleep from 11PM until 7AM uninterupted.
