I'm listening to AM sports talk on my way home from work the other day and I got to listen to some guest host's take on the World Baseball Classic.  He stated he liked it not for the US to do well in it, but for the more pure, fundamental form of baseball.  He argued that the other teams in the classic play a better brand of baseball and that the US has gotten sold on power and flash, and that the US has forgotten how the game should be played.  The response was a tirade of how he's an idiot, to go to Japan, GTFO, etc.  

Anyone believe in the theory?  I have always been fascinated with serial killers and the drive behind the madness (maybe its just because Wisconsin is known for them).  I think they lose that sense of control that makes us human.  People get urges to do some pretty sick and twisted things, but have morality (or for some, fear of consequences) take over and keep them from acting out.  What makes this scary is the fact that it could be a rather large group.  Here's a link if you don't know what I'm talking about.

1.  Small planes smell like feet or people need to keep their shoes on.  Both ones I took smelled awful... maybe its just Delta.

2.  I ordered a piece of cake down there and it was enough for six people, so the cake is not a lie, its located in Palm Beach.

3.  Cardinal fans are nice for the most part... even to Brewer fans that are randomly at a Cards/Mets game.

4.  MTGO is addictive.

5.  My 360 is finally on its way home... I miss killing zombies and playing Rock Band.

6.  Government has become a soccer mom where it is unfair for any players to lose.

Is the apocalypse upon us?  Now I know Wisconsin hasn't been hit nearly as bad as a lot of regions around, but its getting a little ridiculous.  Now, I may get lucky and get a snow day out of the deal, being a low life teacher, but half of that will be chipping ice away.  I think I should invest in de-icer, since this year has been crazy all over the country.  Besides, after I'm all done I'm sure the f'n snow plow guy will take all the ice and shove it in my driveway right at the last second as I hear him cackle with delight.
