Mommitude's Vacation (If You Can Call It That)

So, the church at which Mommitude works part time as Director of Children and Youth is having their Vacation Bible School this week, so she decided to take the week off from her day job so that she doesn't go insane trying to deal with both at the same time. It's nice having her home, as we usually don't get to spend much time together during the day. We're going to go out for lunch today to celebrate Fathers' Day, as yesterday was so busy, being the first day of VBS, we just didn't have time to go anywhere.

Happy Fathers' Day!

Happy Fathers' Day to all you other fathers out there! Yesterday, we went for a second test drive in the '93 Concorde we've been looking at (the same one that took us for a ride on Wednesday) and bought it. Since we put it in my name, I'm calling it my Fathers' Day present. It is a very nice car for a 14-year-old. The interior is in immaculate condition, and it even has power side mirrors! And best of all, it has brakes that work now.

I Thought Summer Was the "Dry" Season!

I used to think that summer was the "dry" season for video games, but I think this summer is turning into the exception. I currently have 5 games on pre-order at my local EB Games that come out between now and the end of August. At this rate, I'm going to blow my whole year's gaming budget just over the next couple of months!

My Current Pre-Orders:

DiRT - 6/19
The Darkness - 6/25
Overlord - 6/26

Maybe I Should Just Swear Off Automobiles...

So we bought the Geo Metro on Tuesday and found out it had a couple of minor issues...
  1. The air doesn't work. (The brother of the lady we bought it from is supposed to be getting the parts to fix it, at least...)
  2. The headlight switch is backwards - you turn 'em off to turn 'em on! (At least they do turn on, I guess...)
