In my opinion what needs to happen is to scrap all 50 state constitutions and the federal one and redraft em all. Keep the good stuff throw out the outdated stuff and debate the stuff in between. There should be 1 simple federal code of law covering everything from moving violations to murder that should be drafted during this process. And all the big stuff should be in these documents somewhere -- education, separation of church and state, health care etc. I don't even know that state constitutions are necessary under this plan.

Should the citizens of our country be satisfied with what is generally considered a good situation in the way of standard of living, health care, etc.? Or should we be constantly striving to be the best in all areas, no matter the means needed to bring about the improvements? Summary: Is pretty good, good enough or do we break down the barriers to be the best? Discuss.

It occurs to me that our way of living in this country is never going to change unless a revolution were to occur, and frankly I don't think we, the citizens of the US of A have the cajones to pull it off. Discuss.
