Well, I finally got the PS3 and hope to have an HD LCD TV to go with it in the next couple of weeks. I was visiting a friend this afternoon and was blown away by how great everything looks in HD, especially on the PS3. I can't wait. Don't look for a lot of blogging from me!

As many of you probably know, Robert Service was the Britsh-born Canadian poet best known for his darkly humorous epic, "The Cremation of Sam McGee."  While reading his collected works recently, I came across the following poem and thought it could be a fit requiem for a modern day gamer. Obviously, that's not what he had in mind--his life span was 1874-1958!

When I heard about Puzzle Quest and tried the demo, I knew it'd be trouble. Then I read it wouldn't be out for the PC until February 2008 and vowed to wait until then instead of getting it for DS or XBox360. Little did I know that GamersGate would foil me with an early downloadable version! My friend, Robb, aptly dubbed the game Puzzle-just-one-more-Quest. Yep, that's what I keep telling myself, "Just one more quest and then I'll stop." Riiiiiight........
