I'm on the road in Washington, DC, but I wanted to send you a quick update on two big breaking news stories.

First, just a few minutes ago, the Pentagon officially announced they will be phasing out involuntary enlistment extensions, otherwise known as "stop-loss."

This is a video game site, so I should probably say something about some video games. I haven't been on XBL as much lately because of (among other somewhat more personal reasons) this curious white box I got for Christmas. That's right, a Wii. I had always been kind of interested in the Wii for it's Virtual Console. I was a Sega Master System owner and a PC gamer in my youth and never really got to play much of Nintendos offerings and once I switched back to consoles it was pretty much everything but Nintendo.
