Videogames and violence

I was reading this article about a 17 year old boy who was dubbed the "Halo Killer".  This young man was apparently obsessed with Halo 3 after being incapacitated for months following an injury.  He played it constantly up to 18 hours a day skipping meals and hardly sleeping.  His parents started to limit his playing time.  According to a January Associated Press report, the teen planned the murder for weeks before entering his parents' bedroom and shooting them both in the head.

Test

For some reason the youtube videos wouldn't show up so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.  If it shows up, it's another great music video by mangdiws

Yay!

Glad the site is back, no thanks to the script kiddies. Hopefully the site is more secure but I don't think that'll be the last time we see them. Anywho, on to something more fun. I found some more great video game music related videos.

Arial combat hummingbird style

So I wake up this morning and head outside for my morning cigarrete and to watch the hummingbirds.  I have 4 feeders hanging on my front porch.  For the past year or so I've only seen 4 birds at most.  This time around, I've counted at least 9.  I've been wondering why so many have shown up this year.  I'm wondering if there is a lack of food for them this time around.  We did have hurricane Ike roll through last year.  Maybe it knocked out most of their food so they are having to rely on my feeders.  I'm not complaining though.  It's nice to see all the birds with their vivid coloring.  My

WTF is that thing?

Several months ago I was patrolling youtube looking for some great music videos and came across a very unique and interesting instrument. This instrument is call a Theremin. I've never seen anything like it. It has no buttons, holes, mouthpiece, strings or moving parts. It works by.... well I guess I could explain how it works but I'm sure you'll get bored. If you do actually want to know more about it, you can read about it here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theremin
