Another one bites the dust

Follow up a great weekend by a typical Carolina meltdown losing in Kentucky. Lattimore is a difference maker, he makes the offense extraoridnary. When he left the game in early 3rd quarter w/ ankle injury the ship sank fast. Not expected to play against Vanderbilt, could be a game I don't want to watch.

On a postive note, about 2 hours after the loss to UK I lifted our spirits by proposing to my gf, greatly made the trip worthwhile.

Bluegrass

Second road trip of college season brings us to Lexington, KY. I have never been to Commonwealth stadium; hearing it is a great looking stadium although the fan atmosphere may not match. I don't see why not (i think) the seating is around 70,000. Anyways, looking for tourist spots beside the game, Keeneland horse race track is a reoccurring theme. My gf is all about stopping for tourist spots, on the way back from Auburn she saw a sign off interstate for some "little white school house", I said, we are not stopping for that.

good weekend

For us that live in Columbia, it was a good weekend, for Alabama fans not so much. We all had tempered expectations w/Bama's streak of domination coming in but according to Spurrier, "we gave fate a chance". He was promoting this all week saying that the team wanted to do what the baseball & basketball team did beating #1 Arizona St. & Kentucky, only 2nd time in collegiate athletics for that accomplishment.

SEC championship

After watching Bama/Florida I am now convinced no team in the east will challenge South Carolina offensively. It will be SC vs....Auburn in Atlanta. Not Bama, you may ask, well I'm not convinced Bama is all their hyped out to be. Arkansas is overrated w/no running game, FL is obviously horrible this year, Penn St. terrible. Carolina/Bama will be their hardest test of the year. Not entirely depending if we beat them we will still roll over other EAst teams.

North carolina news

Hearing on radio that it will be a miracle if Butch Davis survives the regular season with his job. Uncovered 4 years of financial transactions between John Blake & an agent (Gary Rissard). Blake received multiple payments over $40,000.00 and had personal credit card issued by agent; Butch Davis has denied knowing anything about it.

A likely story, Davis has been cheating his entire UNC tenure and now it has caught him; the John Calipari of football.
