Laptop Drawer and Side"Art".

I lost more than a few hours of sleep working on this "little" project until the wee hours of the morning a few times this week.  But the payoff has been worth it so far.

I've had requests to keep the pics coming, so here they are.

My laptop drawer; simple but effective.  Now you see it...

Now you don't.

Custom Coin Reject Buttons

Thanks to Tighe over at IAM/KLOV for his custom artwork.  I just printed them out, pried a bit at my new coin door buttons and voila!

These will add an awesome touch to the MK themed cabinet.

Amazing the Difference a Bezel Makes.

In my previous entry, I tried to catch everyone up to speed on where my little MAME Odyssey was in the course of production.  The last pic showed obvious progress, but the glaring TV in the middle of the cab is a tough thing to see through on the way to a final product.

MAME Cabinet Build

It was a normal day, around two months ago. I was perusing the local CL ads for vintage stereo gear. It's one of my "things." I find old Marantz, Pioneer and Sansui gear, fix it up, listen to it, sometimes keep it, sometimes sell it and move on to the next piece. It's been a pretty rewarding little hobby.

That day however I didn't find something manufactured by those audio brands of lore. No, this was better. It was a dedicated Mortal Kombat II arcade cabinet.
