Shared on Thu, 07/16/2015 - 14:13Things have been generally smooth here on the new site. I've just updated a few more things with the side bar. Added side bar auto follow as you scroll, added in auto comment posting, changes some text around, put in a new sidebar block and style for blogs, and added an indicator for when a new blog is posted.
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, whenever someone from the 2o2p crew streams we set off a pulsing becon at the top of the page that will allow you to open our Twitch channel within 2o2p to participate, watch and comment. There is a lot more to come, but I'll be spending most of my time looking for and killing off bugs. As always if you see something funky let me know in the forums.
Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to launch a new video explaining all the new features, ideas for the future, and walk through of how to use the new site. Stay tuned!

It just ends up being a pain in the but to deal with all the off site linking and extra load time. Id rather focus more on what the post is about then whats below it.

I was surprised to start hearing some Destiny action last night, right out of the blue. I new the Twitch beacon meant someone was streaming but I didn't think I would recieve any of it before clicking the Twitch icon. I there an opt out for that feature?

That should never happen. In fact the way the code works, it doesn't actually ever grab the twitch stream until a user clicks on the beacon. I'm not even sure how its possible. Did it sound like an ad?

Deep, i just pushed a fix that should remove the player no matter what when you close it. Should stop it from randomly starting to play in the background.

Great job on the site man. l love how it's nice and simple ..l noticed chat does not show up on mobile is that gonna change ? or will it stay the way it is?

Thanks blue. Should be easier to see. It also notifies you with a red star if the blog post is new since the last time you were on the site. Should make it easier to pull out new content at a glance.
