Shared on Sun, 12/20/2009 - 22:50Christmas is almost here again. It's been a long time since I so looked forward to it. Months of Facebook gaming and that old PC classic, Sim City 4, will soon be behind me. A shiny new Xbox 360 awaits.
I know. It's all about the giving and I've done all that my finances will allow this year. Those gifts are wrapped and in place. But I'm not the only one waiting for that day. It was after inserting a recently purchased Project Gotham 4 that I was greeted with the red ring of death. That game still sits patiently waiting. But I'm afraid it will have to get used to it. I'll be much more interested in finally using the Limited Collector's Edition of Forza 3.
I'm curious. Who's going to win? Will it be the detractors who cry over its annoying points or the programming studio who proudly hoist the Driving Game of the Year award from Spike TV?
I've never been the best VG driver. I consider myself very good on the road but just cannot convert that to the digital realm. All the sensations I rely on to handle a real car are just not there. So I'm usually at the back of the pack. Maybe it won't matter how bad the AI cars are. Plus I'll be too busy redoing all my old FM2 designs for a while to worry about finding a decent online race, so they can keep their lousy new "hopper" system as well.
When last I played FM2 there was a boatload of cars still in my garage and around 30 or 40 million cr in the bank mostly from auction house sales, so the money glitch will not tempt me here. Plus the "banhammer" has already fallen.
I just can't wait to find out. Somebody pinch me. Is it Christmas yet?
