GTA 5. So much right. So much wrong

Oh Rockstar, how you task me. I chase you not 'round Perditions flames, but surely 'til my online character can retain his hat whilst driving - as his story-mode brethren do. I shall chase you not past the moons of Nibia, but through the bogs of the Zancudo River. Though my pants may gleam in their mud-soaked sodden state, I shall persist 'til we may own more than one garage or home. The Antares Maelstrom shall be eclipsed in my ire 'til the day I own a Weazel News van and dispatch within upon my missions.

Still Kicking Around SL

Wow. Has it really been that long since I dropped a blog in here? The last one was before Christmas fer crying out loud. Well, it's been a busy time in my online life. I got SL married, which is something I swore I would never do. Then I opened a club, which is something I never thought would happen. The new wife, Strupples, and I hired a bunch of DJ and host talent for the club. Then came the daily drama of running said club and the exodus of nearly all the aforementioned talent. It's been quite a few months. I see there have been some changes in here as well.

An SL Christmas and Firestorm's new Phototools

First off, for those not familiar with it. Second Life is accessed through special programs called viewers. The primary one made available through SL creators Linden Laboratories is only one way to tour this virtual world. While sufficient for many users, others would like it to do more. Enter the Phoenix Viewer Project and their newest entry into the viewer market, Firestorm.

Getting Started: Creating an Avatar

Yadni's Junkyard has been a mainstay in Second Life for years. While the "freebies" may be older stock, many of them are useful, just the same.

This is Second Life

It's time for a little personal reboot. I've been spending most of my time logged into Second Life and doing a lot less of those pursuits I had before. So from this point on, I aim to bring the fine folks of 2O2P into what I have grown to enjoy so much and hopefully dispell some myths along the way.

Yeah, I think I'm getting hooked.

Spike Luckstone put on an amazing virtuoso guitar performance for a select group at the Lost Lovers Club

Brad Paisley could almost have been singing about me. I'm a sci-fi fanatic and a mild asthmatic. I don't, however, work at a pizza pit or drive a Hyundai. And, sorry, I've been past second base on a few occasions. Despite this, I'm so much cooler online.

Second Life honors 9/11

Not sure who laid it out, but kudos to the second lifers behind this 9/11 memorial in the Stagg Island region. I logged in a little after 8 a.m. and many players, like me, were arriving just to be at the in-game memorial while watching the real one on TV. They kept pouring in until the place was packed. Wish I could have gotten a picture then. When I tried, the computer froze. No doubt due to sheer volume.

Call me a liar

In the blog below, I outlined how the language nanny in Forza 4 deemed simple language as inappropriate. I can add one more. If you call a tune "basic D" as in a D class car with a very basic, inexpensive build, the game deems it inappropriate. Maybe they think we're talking about bras instead of cars. I dunno.
