Sick and tired of being both sick and tired

God you have to love this time of year. Oppressive heat and humidity give way to more temparate days full of red, brown and gold. It seems not that long ago that the trees were still green. Then BAM! You awaken in the morning, shivering from having left the window open the night before, to find that fall has arrived.

Gone are the shorts and sandals. T shirts remain a staple but now that logo you were so happy to get is covered by a heavier shirt or even a sweater. In fact, the weather has gone from one extreme to the other. What happened to Indian summer? Did it get taken back in some land claim dispute?

Cool days. Cold nights. Rain. Frost on the ground. The sound of ice scrapers across frozen windshields. And of course... HACK!!! Excuse me. COUGH... COUGH... WHEEEZE. What was that other thing I was trying to remember?

You wake in the morning and turn the kettle on. Before long the aroma of fresh Neo Citran permeates throughout the house. Hmmm. And what will I follow it up with this morning? Some Dimetapp or maybe go all out for a shot of Buckley's. Aw. Nothing says the cold weather is here like a good shot of Buckley's Cough Syrup. I don't think you fine folks get that in the states, do you? LUCKY YOU!!!! Any product that advertises itself as "it tastes awful, but it works" would be a tough sell anywhere but in The Great Frozen North.

I want summer back! I want green trees and mosquitoes. I want to catch fish that aren't already frozen or maybe some college girls in mini skirts and tanks tops. (Anything that will go for my line. I'm not picky)

Anyways, to you people down there in the land of sun, enjoy the sights of autumn
