Yeah, apparently the fire dept. takes it seriously when you jerk off getting outside during an alarm. I believe Dsmooth and I got out in time to not die had it been a real drill, but it took our folks like 4-minutes to get outside. Some strolled out after 9-minutes like it was a party.

Boy, HR was not happy with receiving an "F" grade. No fines yet, but I'm guessing we'll have another fire drill real soon. Something they said that I didn't know, if you don't get out when a fire alarm sounds or are "late" getting out, they can press criminal charges on your ass. Not the company, you. The company will get a fine--sure, but you'll get pwned with a record.

Imagine that? Someone looks at your criminal record and finds your a fire alarm breaker. "What are you in for buddy?" "I ignored a fire alarm."

In all seriousness, I'm not a big fan of dying so I got the heck out. First a) its a reason not to do work b) it's nice out c) I don't like to die d) fire is hot.

I've read the first sentence a couple of times now. Am I the only one who thinks that it looks like Code was masturbating during a fire alarm and the fire dept. caught him? :)

LOL, literally laughing out loud. Here I try to establish a visual and you go and take it all seriously.

Well, Code does have a couple kids, so the wifey prolly doesn't give him enough... The place I work is due for fire drills. Bloody pain in the arse, if you ask me. But, it shakes up the troops and prepares people for an emergency that hopefully will never come.

Two kids doesn't impact a persons sex life if they really try (and want to keep their marriage stable). So no problems there :-) It's more about exercising my writer style and seeing if I got any responses to the visualizations. Which I highly exceeded my own expectations!

That's crazy; definitely one of the last things I thought you could get arrested for ... one notch above not picking up your horse's poop in certain parts of Canada.

Sgreth didn't make the drill, we had to kill him for being late. Apparently being on vacation is a criminal thing around here too :-) No, sgreth got to miss out on all the fun. Now that's hes on vacation we can install the polls and the strippers and really party it up Sopranos style.

Getting out and staying out is a big deal. Firefighters put their lives on the line looking for people that "are suspected to be trapped". It gets hairy when we get a call of a house fire with suspected entrapment. We had one a few years back on memorial day that scared us. I went in with a team looking for a "trapped" child. We had to back out because it was to hot. We went in another way and after we got in we then got word that he was at the neighbors. We were relieved to say the least. Get out and get out quick.

Yeah, basically, the fact that people staying in because they don't think its real causes firefighters to risk their life for stupid people. If you're going to risk your own life, so be it. But since firefighters are going to risk theirs to get your ass out, it isn't cool.
