Funerals Are Sad

Of course they are, right? My grandmother had a great send off, luckily she's got tons of money :-) My grandfather died in 1973 (before I was born) and she's been a widow a LONG time - during that time she's been lucky to collect social security and his pension. She was a humble lady so she rarely spent money and when she did she spent it on what she needed and nothing more.

So, she was able to have a great funeral with lots of people, celebrations, the works. It was cool (for a funeral of course). I was lucky to be given the rank of pallbearer along with six other of my cousins. We had a lot to do, but were able to be with her the entire time. Sad to see her go, but glad it was so peaceful.

The cemetary is very close to work so I can visit her and my grandfatehr now and again. It was kinda funny, the funeral she's in is sorta on the way back from our "long route" coffee break at work that dsmooth, sgreth and I go on. Every now and again we pass and I was like "this is a huge cemetary, its like the entire town is a grave site" - lo and behold that is where my grandparents are, hehe.

Well, time to think about work again, Monday I'm heading back. Oh yeah, and I'll try to get news up-to-date again :)
