Shared on Fri, 12/22/2006 - 10:13Today is the last day of work! Wohoo. Okay, well its the last day of work at my real job... I've got a week of coding for doodi and I's web development project but that's additional income that I'm going to need to pay for christmas and my companies advertising (or maybe buying some cool tech toys).
I just wanted to thanks those that have supported my wife and her website. Our new games are not much cheaper (if any) then any other store you could go to but you chose us to help support our cause, and its highly appreciated. Some members have told me "listen, I'll buy all my games from you - well, except Halo 3 because I want that immediately." That's more then we can hope for!
We're still in the red, by a lot, but without 2old2play we'd have 0 sales to date. Instead we've had some of you purchase new games, old games, trade in games and generally support the site.
I know KingDrewsky did a little post on EvilAvatar about where he purchased Viva Pinata, Doodi giving us props on his own podcast, Ceaser posting on his own private site about us, BrokenDesign for his art & design talents, Rabbmasterflash for his comment reviews on my products, NoGame22 for his reviews on my products, JollyRoger and others for digging my sites articles, Tank for his bug reports and so many others for telling friends about our little startup company.
Believe it or not, posting it as KingDrewsky and Ceaser did in their "shameless plugs" helps our our search results as much as some advertising would so it's important to me that they be called out for their efforts.
We've had over 20 sales from 2old2play members in the last three months, sure its below what we need to be breaking even, but its more then we would get without a social group of friends like 2old2play to help us out. Not only do you guys get xbox systems for our armed forces, donate for friends in need (on more then one occasion) but you sacrifice online purchasing for in store purchasing (and sometimes pay a bit in shipping) just to help out a couple gamers with a startup business.
Awesome.
Happy Holidays,
CodeMonkey
PS: For those on my "list" for Nintendo Wii's - I will update you when the products finally arrive (damn rare products!!)
