Yea yeah, is about time, eh? I just sent this to all my writers (if I forgot you again, PM/comment/e-mail editor@2old2play.com and I'll add you):

This issue will start the new year, so I'd like to get a few topics that may predict upcoming events. This issue will release in mid-to-late February, just to get your timing right (i.e. "happy new year" articles may not apply to Feb.)

Here are somethings to think about:

1. How Social Networking And Game News Changes Our Industry
2. Blogging: Good vs. Bad - Real news vs. the Hoax
3. Console Shortage: A Gamer Struggling To Get Their Console Fix (something about trying to hunt down a Wii/PS3)
4. Next-Generation Is Over: What We Have Now (a bit about Wii/PS3/360 being here and ready to compete for our money, no longer "predictions" and "rumors")
5. The Rise Of Sony: How Sony Will Reclaim The Industry
6. Microsoft Domination: How Microsoft Will Own Seventh Generation Gaming
7. Screw Console Wars: PC Gaming For The World (why PC gaming is easier/better and requires less costly investments on 3 consoles)
8. Console Market Heats Up: With Horsepower comes Heat (something about console freezing, locking and overheating. Perhaps compare and contrast the size/speed/sounds of the consoles)
9. Networking: What Microsoft Did Right and What The Others Just Don't Understand (compare why XBL will dominate console networking)
10. Pay Services Are Overrated: Why XBL Will Lose Market Share To The Free Networking Model (or play devils advocate on XBL vs. Nintendo & Sony Solution)
11. Drawing The Line: Nintendo Wii Rebulids A Lost Industry (Wii's ability to capture a large demographic of casual gamers and go back to their roots of fun gaming over powerhouse driven consoles)
12. Gaming In High-Definition: Sony High Definition Solutions vs the Xbox 360 ( are there enough differences to choose one over the other? )
13. Competing For Your Gaming Dollar In 07 (how will the console and pc game publishers attract you in 2007, graphics? gameplay? innovation? sequels?)
14. Exclusives: Capturing A Popular Game Franchise (are exclusives going to change sales figures for the consoles? Wii's Zelda, Microsofts Gears of War, Sony's Final Fantasy are good cited examples).

Those are a few to run with, if you have others just let me know.

Also appended to this list, DeadDrPhibes suggested (but doesn't have time to write up)

Adult Games In American Culture (perhaps compare and contrast with japanese gaming culture and their abundunance of x rated games with bouncy orbs and amusingly shaped tentacles with the US game market)

NOTE: I sourced my e-mail from a different mail client so if you didn't get the e-mail it might be due to my inability to export all the addresses correctly and ship them around to different PC's. I think I got everyone though :) Blogging it regardless.
