Is It Bad When...

So I went to the UPS drop-off store with my Xbox 360 "coffin" and, typically, I have to declare what it is to the dude at the counter, however, this time it was different.

I go up to him, drop the box on the counter he looks down and goes "Xbox 360 eh?" So, I said to him, "Um, yeah,... how did you know?" knowing there was nothing on the box to describe the package yet expecting I already knew the answer.

"Because I get these all the time," to which I said "yes, apparently a 65% failure rate and he's like, "I think it's probably higher than that." We had a good laugh and I left.

Pretty sad, eh?

Ya, lots of people report the same thing. That is pretty pathetic that UPS knows what it is by the box because they process so many.

Hah. Earlier when I was estimating at least a 50% failure rate people in my clan were debating with me, \"It can't be that high\"! Oh yes it can!!!!

I'd like to see failure rates based on revision. I think the current revisions could be very reliable.

Hopefully the one I get back is 'revised' to something more reliable. After all, I'm paying 99 bucks.

Those coffins are famous. The UPS guy at my store knew what it was... it was the third one he saw just that day!

code: you'll get the same one back. I sent mine in, used it 4 times after I got it back and it got another RRoD. After I sent it in again, I got the same one back.\r \r The UPS guy said they get 10 a day....\r \r

10 a day? Damn. Well, I didn't get a RRoD, I got a dead video card.\r \r RRoD would have been covered under the warranty :|
