A note about the writers contest

Doodi, Dsmooth, and I had a little round table discussion about how we're going to pull off the writers contest. Starting next monday we will publish the first article of the five, in no specific order, on the front page news.

This is important, because, we need everyone to participate in this -  a site wide effort. Why? Because each individual writer in this contest contributed blood sweat and tears to win the contest. However, an article is only good if it has an audience to read it.

So, Monday will be the first article, we will have a nice little banner to get you fast access to it - please take the time to read it over, leave comments if you would like to spur on great discussions. Tuesday will follow with the next article, and another on Wednesday.

On Friday the final article will be published, and the polls will be open. You will vote for your favorite article - look back and re-read them if you've forgotten which you found the best.

A word of warning: Each article is awesome in its own way. They cover a wide array of topics and you will probably find it hard to choose the best, but I urge you to try.

Everyone's vote counts! We don't have any silly electorial processes and the end result will not mean the election of Kerry or Bush, but let me tell you, the writers will be happy that you gave them the nod.

So, stay tuned for Monday and begin reading some great articles. And, prepare to hit up digg.com to also log your vote because we're going to let the world read your stuff (only member will count for final votes though).

Have a great day,
