Shared on Fri, 11/17/2006 - 22:42So, I finally beat Castlevania DS. Holy crap. So that was an awesome game, I recommend it to any hardcore "old school" Castlevania folks. And, if you beat it with the best ending you can play as one of the Belmonts in classic fashion. The UI changes to be like the older Castlevania I/II style games (rather then the menu screen final fantasy style), you only get a whip and the music is totally Ol' School 'Vania!
Now, I'm on to Final Fantasy III DS. I'll write up a review for the site when I make some more progress. So far I've only played it for 30 minutes or so and all I can say is "OH YEA BABY!" Old school Final Fantasy to the rescue. Classic music on the intro screen, normal turn-based play style with classic menu system and inventory screens.
They even have the Dragoon, Ninja, Black/White/Red wizards. This is going to be an awesome ride.
Oh yeah, I also picked up Viva Pinata (whatever I can do to help out the wifes game company! :-).
Lots to play, so few hours in the day.

PS: When they fix up CoD3's networking to be not "teh sux" I'll be back to play with all yall 2'old2players (they are going to make it actually work, right?)
