Anyway, I set my alarm for 3 AM and went to bed. When the alarm went off, I put on my Santa suit and went downstairs with the gifts in a bag. Both kids were asleep (or so I thought) so I started to put the gifts under the tree. Then, I hear the voice of my sweet little girl say "Santa?" I turned, and there looking at me were the most beautiful little wide eyes starring at me in astonishment. I put a finger to my lips and receive a little wave. As I finished and was leaving, I told her what a good girl she was this year and wished her a Merry Christmas. She smiled from ear to ear and closed her eyes.
The next morning, I was greeted with a "Mommy! Daddy! I saw Santa Claus last night!" I was so overjoyed at what I had accomplished the previous night. If I live to be 100, I will never forget the look on her face when I first met her eyes this past Christmas Eve. Best Christmas ever!
