Chicago Lan Date Set!

After bouncing back with 5 different hotels it looks like 2old2play will have it's LAN back at the Wyndam Ohare Hotel on August 7th 2009 so SAVE THIS DATE. My worry was always how the economy would effect the turn out and to be honest I wasn't sure if we could pull it off, but it looks like a lot of people are dying to get together with their clans and toss some controllers across the room. I suppose the best medicine for times like these are beer and gaming with friends.

For old school members they will remember the Wyndam as the "basement party" as we had our last event there 2 years ago. This year we will be taking over their grand ball room with our own section of the hotel blocked off just for us. Should be nice as we have our own reception area, bathrooms, and bars. I should have the contract looked over and signed by Monday and tickets on sale if everything goes through. Keep in mind that the hotels have tried to screw me over EVERY SINGLE YEAR so plans could possibly change, but Wyndam has always been a pretty straight shooter in the past. So for now it looks like the LAN is on and ready to go! See you all in Chicago!

Going by the name, it's safe to assume it's close to Ohare? I have to fly into ORD on Jet Blue b/c that's the airline i have the free tix with.\r

Is the LAN just on that one day? just the Friday?... or that whole weekend? When will you know for sure that's the date and when can we book rooms?\r \r I guess I will be doing both, lol.... Will need to coordinate with other folks =)
