Our Vidcast is up!

Check out the homepage to see our first vid cast.  I know the quality is shit, but as a proof of concept I'm really excited about what we might be able to do in the future.  My hope is that we can run some sort of fundraiser and build out a live studio that the community can use to share news, events, call in and more.  If you hate it, let us know.  We want to really see what the community thinks about the "idea" of the video and how they think we should evolve it for the future.  Our own ideas include video call ins from clan members, doing the show live, and showing community game play vids.

Anyway, check out the page for more info and we will keep you up to date on how to grow the show in the future.

P.S.  If anyone has contact with hardware vendors for PC equipment please let me know.  We are looking to add a much larger PC behind the show in order to stream in 720p HD.  Thanks!

Looks pretty cool. Lots of potential. Though how are you going to work the call ins? via skype? or will we have to get some software for that to work?

Nunderw00b, we can do all the callins ViA Skype or ooVoo. On top of that we can use regular phone calls to do audio call ins. The only real limitation ATM is the amount of CPU required to run everything in a smooth format. We are looking at around 6 core Processor and about 12 gigs of RAM

I posted this in the link comments, but probably better here. It will be interesting to see where you guys will go with this. Someday you will make it onto Revision3 as a general gaming show :) You guys are going to have to learn the art of post production :) There there is no need for the 10 second count down, just a short pause and a marker if possible. You can take pics of things like giveaways and put them into post for a more clear picture, etc... Maybe get some tips from the forza guys that do post stuff for their videos.

as much as it pains me to say this.... dump the PC and get a Mac...but only for the video.

guys..the video editing is not the issue. It is the load skype and the VB program are putting on the comp. It is not just the 4 windows you are seeing (which is actually 6 different windows on Doodi's end). Doodi wants to be able to cut to external videos/pics/websites etc. on the fly. Not to mention being able to have people call in and get inserted instantly on the podcast.

I have mixed feelings about it. It's good to put faces to names and the information is good as always. But having one person talking and three people staring blankly at a screen doesn't really make for good TV. Maybe you could have cut in some video from the party, or talking about news cut in some trailers or something? This looks like you guys were podcasting but happened to be filming it. But you guys can probably adapt to it over time.

This one was full of fail, sure. But it was our first time! It will get marginally better, no doubt.

You guys really need to fix the audio first. Everyone was at different sound levels.
