Shared on Wed, 01/19/2011 - 16:20Alleluia! After sending an e-mail to my doc to have the CT folks reevaluate with correlation with the iodine scan, they have FOUND the puppy! It turns out it was kinda hiding but has now been seen on the latest CT, the PET/CT from 8/12/2010, the CT from 6/18/2010, and the 6/8/2010 MRI (though the last two were very faint). I can now schedule the surgery!!!!
The possible bad news is that it is between the left pulmonary artery and left upper pulmonary vein so it may be a little tricky, at least in my inexperienced estimate. This thing is .7" x .5" (18mm x 13mm) which is not very small.
You have NO idea how much of relief it is to now know where it is and can probably have it removed!!!
