Shared on Wed, 06/21/2006 - 15:59I have gained some great information in the last 24 hours that I did not know. I would like to share a few of these with you.
1) I have a really casual job. Right now Im wearing boots, nice jeans, & a shirt, not a collared or even button shirt just a really nice Tshirt, that was where my day started off bad. This morning I attached my badge to my front R belt loop. My badge is encased in a hard, thick, plastic protector, that is attached to a string that you can pull out and it will retract it for you. We use our badges to open the front doors to our office and I reach across my body, put mine up to the scanner, and let it go, it retracted quickly.
Lesson Learned: A shot to the nads @ 7 oclock in the morning is a better wake up than 1 gallon of expresso.
2) Warlock sucks. no real lesson I just wish there was a way to burn the map so that I could pee on the ashes.
3) I have..er get to take a summer vacation this year. whoopee. I hate traveling. Now I was asked where I wanted to go and said I dont care. Mistake . My wife chooses Branson, MO. nothing against branson but Ive been there about 12 times and dont want to go in the middle of the frikkin summer I know how hot it gets in the hills of MO. So I bring this up and she says choose somewhere else then. Not a big deal to find a place for us to go but my 4 year old is going and I want to find somewhere that he will enjoy too. Amusement parks have stuff for children but it will be schorching hot anywhere we can afford to go and I dont want to hang around for 3 hours while he ride 5 rides then complains about the heat and we have to leave. Needless to say I have yet to deciede on a place and if I dont by friday it will be deceided for me.
Lesson Learned: Never say I dont know or your mind will soon be made up for you.
4) More gaming. If you ever play me in H2 just throw a grenade in my general vacinity, I will die. I am apparently unusually succeptable to grenade damage. My teammate standing right next to me will live through it. Im guessing that most of the foce and shrapnel was absorbed by my face thus keeping him safe. My grenades are the quivelant of a M-60 firecracker(You know the red ones about the size of your thumb that stay lit when you throw them in water) cuz I can see my grenade go off underneath an opponent and they keep walking over my dead body w/ out even missing a beat.
Lesson Learned: by opponent. If he had thrown a grenade and Id seen the explosion Id have died. Instead he shot at me and he died thus ending the game @ 50-49 us.
5) I suck at objective games. At least my team does Ive yet to decied if this is because of me or the others onmy team that have the "Ugh, me kill you now" mind set no matter the objective. "Hey thats great jackass, good job chasing that guy across the map and killing him. But you see that circle thingey and the guy saying Hill Controlled when you run into it? Thats a good thing.
Lesson Learned: Every cussing, rude, de-leveling, betraying, asshat 13 year old. WILL end up on my side during a Team Skirmish game. Sub-Lesson for my clan: sleep is overated and you all need to stay up into the wee hours of the morning playing MM w/ me. Everyday. I know a good way to wake yourself up. That is if youre male.
