We are $700 in the hole, but Obi is home.  Our baby survived and should make a full recovery.  w00t!  He is loving being back home, though his excitement means I must mop up his "Happy Piss" every few minutes,  lol.

Today I went to a bridal expo...you know the kind, lots of brides-to-be running around looking at all the stuff: food, cake, flowers, candles, tuxes, dresses...everything you could possibly think of to have for a wedding, it was there...even the things you might not think about, like getting braces.  :?  Lol.  We had an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to possibly win some prizes: spa day(4th), cake(3rd), dress(2nd), and venue(grand) were the prizes available.  We bought 6 tickets for $10, one of my numbers were called...I went up, got covered in cake and came away with........THE GRAND PRIZE, the 910 Ballroom!!!!!  Yay!! Big, huge, extremely excited, YAY!!!  This is the one thing I was most concerned about, only because the fundage for the wedding is only a few thousand....no where near the 30+k that the average bride spends, so this is a seriously awesome prize for us.  w00t!

Happy Sunday!!

The "average" bride is an idiot to piss that much money away on a wedding. DA and I had an awesome wedding for a few thousand. Save the bucks and spend it where it counts. And very happy about Obi. Congrats.

Awesome. Like Dastard said, don't concentrate on the price tag. My wife and I got married for $5k total, everything from dress to cake to venue, and after 15 years we're still going strong. No need to go into a huge financial hole for what will amount to a few hours of your life.

Even if I had that kind of money, I think I'd have a hard time spending it....it's just crazy to do that. I have no problem with spending a few thousand, but 30 is freaking nuts. I was just having a hard time figuring out how we were going to put money down to reserve a site before bonus time, lol.

Congrats on winning Durty.. also, I 've been to a few weddings and the smaller ones (better priced) seemed to be the better wedding:) Best wishes
