Global warming is great

Global warming is just great !

Yesterday the temperature reached 19c !, (do your own calculations to what that is in that weirdo fahrenheit thingy you americans have going on).

That's just amazing in this part of the world, i am in the north of Germany close to the Dutch border. Last year on exact the same day or thereabouts, there was a big snowstorm and the some 200.000 people had to do a day or 2 without electricity. Image the horror, no xbox 360 !

Luckily everyone here drives around in a massive Audi or BMW, so we can look forward to even higher temperatures next winter. I will be joing the effort with my 3 liter Audi a6 diesel, which is just great for driving up and down the A31 Autobahn. Here's a good tip to help global warming :

I used to listing to music using my cd player + amp, that's maybe a total of around 40 watts of power. Now with the amazing xbox 360 i stream audio from my PC instead of the old fashioned way. Here goes :

- My pc : E6600, raid, x1900xt : 158 watt idle. I actually checked

- Xbox 360 about the same : 150 watt

- Amp : 30 watt

- And i can't see what i am doing without switching the plasma tv on : 370 watt (again i checked with a meter)

Total to listen to Shakira shaking all those wonderfull body parts : 708 watt ! That's almost a 20 times increase in power consumption to do exactly the same thing as before. Now that is what i call progress guys! Can you think of even better ways to up the power ?

side note : shakira is actually very nice looking, and the warmer it gets the less clothes she has on. So start listening to your xbox 360 and switch of that radio!
