Decompression- the summary

I hate to do it to you but I'm still not at liberty to discuss it in any specific way. :( Now I feel bad for bringing it up. Sorry for the awful cliffhanger!

Let's just say-- 1) I still have my job, 2) things looked bleaker than they actually were, 3) my prinicipal is my new personal hero, 4) the police officer and my advocate came in handy at today's meeting, and 5) everything should be back to normal tomorrow, one would presume.

I thought I was going to throw up all day long, and I was sure I was going to be a total girl and cry at the meeting when the opponent blew up at me, but I didn't. Luckily I hadn't done anything wrong and was effective in relating my perception of what transpired. My principal helped discount the accusations made against me and used video from my classroom to prove it. I've never been more thrilled to have a camera in my room than this week.

My sister is a professor at The Heague College. Her motto is "Stay above wind of male students and neutralize the female students." She gets about 4/5 harrassment claims filed against her per year. Flunking students is dangerous nowadays.

Glad it worked out in your favor. So what subject do you teach?

Big brother ftw!! I have a friend who's a teacher who had an incident like this...the most heartbreaking part for her was not the assaut but when another student studen asked if he could go take a walk because "I deal with enough violence at home, and this is supposed to be my safe place."
